Case Studies of Jobs Performed in the Des Plaines, IL Area
(Des Plaines, IL)
A man passed away in his Des Plaines home, and sadly his death went undiscovered for over a week. Aftermath technicians called to the scene found biological fluids affecting the ceramic tiles in the kitchen. They also noted another pool of fluids covering the bathroom floor. The fluids ran under the toilet and sink, back to the base of the wall. As a first step, the Aftermath crew removed the congealed and hardened fluids and scrubbed the tiles in both rooms to see if they could be salvaged. However, because of the amount of time that had passed, the tiles were unable to be saved. Using a hammer and pry bar, they pulled up tiles in the kitchen, and used a sledge hammer to carefully break and remove all floor tiles in the bathroom. The toilet and sink were also extracted, and the affected areas were broken away and discarded as biohazardous waste. Finally, a HEPA air scrubber was used to filter odors out of the home, leaving the property safe and sanitary for future occupation.
