Biohazard & Crime SCENE Cleanup – Montana State Requirements

Vehicle Requirements

  • Spill kit to be carried in vehicle
  • Surfaces easily cleanable
  • Must keep written exposure plan and spill procedure on vehicle
  • DOT #, Address, Phone no., Biohazard symbol signage
  • Must keep manifest on vehicle until bio is removed at disposal or transfer site
  • Cannot hold longer than 30 days at room temperature without consent from Department
  • Cannot be taken off of truck unless it is at an authorized treatment or transfer facility

Manifest Requirements

  • Kept on vehicle until waste is disposed of at disposal site, signed tracking form to be kept on file at corporate for 3 years
  • Name, address of generator, transporter and med waste treatment, storage, transfer or disposal facility
  • Quantity of material collected/disposed
  • Date collected/date picked-up or delivered

Storage Requirements

  • Cannot hold longer than 30 days at room temperature without consent from Department
  • Area for bio separate from rest of area and signage indicating bio material and only authorized personnel
