2017 Aftermath K9 Grant

This year, the Aftermath K9 Grant awarded a total of $16,500 in grants to five departments and their existing or prospective K9 programs for maintenance, safety equipment, or officer training. Officers and community members nominated and voted for local departments; the top five departments with the most votes have been awarded grants in the following denominations:

 

1st place: $5,000 –  Pekin Police Department, IL

2nd place: $4,000 –  Alamogordo Police Department, NM

3rd place: $3,000 –  St. Mary’s Police Department, GA

4th place: $2,000 –  Avon Police Department, IL

5th place: $1,000 –  Pflugerville Police Department, TX

Honorable Mention: $500 – Miami Police Department, FL

Honorable Mention: $500 – Rooks County Sheriff’s Office, KS

Honorable Mention: $500 – Marietta Police Department, OH

The Aftermath K9 Grant was founded to showcase, support, and reward the unique contributions made by law enforcement and their K9 units across the country. Indirectly, the K9 Grant raises safety awareness and community kinship throughout the neighborhoods that Aftermath and our law enforcement partners proudly serve.

Official Aftermath K9 Grant Rules: The Aftermath K9 Grant is awarded only to law enforcement agencies of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia. Once voting period begins, votes can be made by legal residents of the United States who are 8 years of age or older at time of entry. Void where prohibited. The Grant nomination period begins at 12:00am CST on October 2, 2017 and ends at 11:59pm CST on October 6, 2017.  The Grant voting period begins at 12:00am CST on October 11, 2017 and ends at 11:59pm CST on November 7, 2017. The votes will be tallied after the close of the Grant and the winning law enforcement agencies will be announced on November 10, 2017. If no response is made by winner by November 15, 2017, the grant is forfeited. Aftermath is not responsible for incorrectly formatted entry forms. All entrants agree to allow Aftermath to use their name, likeness, and video for perpetuity in marketing.
