Aftermath Attends the 2016 NCSA Spring Meeting

Last week, Aftermath made its first ever visit to the North Carolina Sheriff’s Association (NCSA) Spring Meeting The event was held at the Holiday Inn in Wrightsville Beach, NC, where North Carolina Supervisor, Megan Squires was on hand to supply pamphlets, tear-off card packs, and other materials. Though Aftermath did not have a vendor’s booth, Megan used her time to talk one-on-one with attendees, building awareness of the company brand by networking and discussing biohazard cleaning.

Meeting of the Minds

The meeting was well-attended by sheriffs and other law enforcement professionals from all over North Carolina, and Megan reports that the crowd was very receptive to learning more about biohazard cleanup. Many stated that they had used other companies in the past, but were eager to have more resources at their disposal. “I explained how Aftermath helps businesses and families in their communities,” Megan relates. “I also mentioned that, in an effort to build positive relationships with law enforcement, we offer jail cell and squad car cleaning.”

During the event, Megan had a chance to meet with the sheriffs from all over the state of North Carolina, including one of New Hanover County’s Honor Guard, pictured above. The Keynote Speaker who gave the meeting’s opening address was North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory. His speech highlighted the important work that NC law enforcement does, and his plans to help make NC prisons and sheriff’s departments better. A video of the speech can be found online.Meeting with one of New Hanover County’s Sheriff’s Honor Guard

In addition to the Governor’s speech, other experts were on hand to present useful information to the assembled. There was also plenty of time for networking with peers. Megan observed: “Many of the sheriffs in attendance work in counties from all ends of the state, yet they all knew each other well. The conference felt more like a reunion of old friends. There was a strong feeling of comradery through the entire event.”
