Aftermath Visits Property and Evidence Association of Florida

Aftermath visits Property and Evidence Assoc. in Florida.

A Visit Before the Storm

Before Hurrican Irma, Florida law enforcement were already working hard to assist local families. Members of the Property and Evidence Association of Florida gathered for their annual conference on August 29th and Aftermath’s Stephen Brown, Senior Director of Marketing & Sales, and Rodney Tower, Senior Manager of Law Enforcement Relations were on hand to represent the company.

The event attracted over 150 visitors, including both property and evidence technicians and detectives from throughout the state. This year marked Aftermath’s third year at the conference.

Attendees exhibited a good amount of energy and were excited to learn more about the best practices of the industry from their colleagues and experts in the field. The flow of attendee/vendor access was consistent throughout the day, and kept the booth busy. “This conference always has great interactions between attendees and vendors,” Stephen said. “This year was no exception. The attendees were engaged and interested in learning more about us.”

Stopping By the Booth

While most vendors were focused on providing equipment and or services to evidence technicians, Aftermath was the only visiting biohazard company. At the booth, Steve and Rodney fielded questions on topics such as locations and response times. “The key message that attendees took away from visiting our booth was that we are able to quickly service all of Florida. Aftermath is passionately committed to providing the highest quality of bio remediation services in the nation.”

More than just networking, there were also plenty of prizes to give away. Demetrius Tyson, Property & Evidence Custodian with the Gainesville Police Deptartment, won our signature 5.11 tactical bag, and Ellen Herringshaw (pictured), Evidence Technician with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, won a $50 Visa gift card.

Though this year may have come and gone, Steve says he’s already making plans for next year’s conference, when vendors will be able to create presentations for visitors to view during breakouts.
